Sam's visit

Sam and I went down to the beach, yes it was drizzling. However that made the beach totally empty!.We had it all to ourselves. I found the perfect beach house for Katie. She loves Pink. However, unless I win the lottery  not likely I can buy it. LOL

There was so much water gathered in the parking lot these birds were enjoying a bath. They were fun to watch.

Sam with the umbrella, whose handle broke off as soon as he opened it.

Beach Wharf/ boardwalk

the end of the Pier, usually loads of people are fishing , bird watching or watching for other sea life, with the binoculars that are mounted  all over the pier.

Famous ferriss wheel and roller coaster

The water was pretty stirred up hence it's grayish color.

Apparently this used to be the end of the route 66. I thought that was pretty interesting.

I had to chuckle when I saw the schedule.
it said that Santa would be surf boarding and, they were bringing in snow for a day for kids to play in.

Sam is having trouble getting a handle on the umbrella  issue.

We had fun finding sand toys all washed up on the beach. They were easy to spot because of their bright colors.

The high tide line marked by driftwood and shells.

Out total haul. I now have sand toys for the kids to play with when they come.

Apparently there are a lot of high rises overlooking the beach. Rent over $1000 a month for a tiny studio apt,  up to $3000 a month for
 2 bedrooms.

I though this tire track would make a cool quilt pattern If I could figure out how to make it.

Heading back up the hill.
Overlooking the beach and community center.

Beautiful park up on the cliffs above the beach.

A nice shot of the temple that Sam took in black and white.
