Mall Shopping and a neighborhood school fund raiser carnival

So my hair is down to my shoulders now. I am trying to decide whether or not to cut it short again or grow it long.

I found out that If I need to run a quick errand at the mall I can park for free for up to an hour. So In order to be able to find my car later, I have to take a photo of where it is so since the underground parking garage is so huge!

One of my favorite things to do is to go to Randy's donuts there and buy a dozen and then freeze them for later. I have never tasted such good donuts before. They don't have a lot of empty tasteless fluff dough filling or leave a greasy after taste in my mouth. I also love they are not oversweet, and the filling is not the canned kind. It tastes like apples. I tried one of their cream ones and it was a very light custard with flavor. It was so over-sugared or thick like pudding with not much flavor. It reminds me very much of the delicious pastries I had in Europe. Their  Apple fritters are the best, plenty of apple chunks
and cinnamon.

I went to the Catholic parochial school behind us on a Saturday. I can't remember what day. Anyway, I was walking around checking out the food booths, to buy dinner. I wanted to support their fundraiser for administration staff. They work hard to fundraise as much as possible to keep tuition affordable for families. There were a lot of choices. As I passed the sandwich booth, I forgot the name. However, I think it is Jimmy John's?
One of the sellers called out to me "Sister", I stopped and he offered me a free sandwich, plus a coupon for buy one get one free.  I told him I was going to buy tickets to get some food. He insisted I take one for free because we (the church) were such good neighbors. I then went to try and buy tickets for food,  however, they wouldn't let me buy any. I was a little confused at first. The lady was talking to someone in charge. She then came back and told me there were giving me 30 tickets for free since I was worked as a volunteer at the Family Search Library. She said she goes there all the time with her friends and she loves it. SO I went to get a hamburger from the Dad's club stand. Then  I felt prompted to buy some Mexican food for my Missionary friend. I called her and asked her what she liked. She was quite happy about.it. Come to find out that she had spent four hours driving (in LA traffic) that day, She went to attend a funeral of her DIL's family member who had died. So she was quite tired and grateful for the food.

I saw a Candy booth and was going to buy a few pieces of red licorice, the kind I ate as a child. I asked how many sticks you got for how many tickets.
Again the person in charge said," take what you want, I am not going to charge you because you are a missionary". I was quite surprised. Usually, it is the younger missionaries that get treated like this.

So I looked around and was quite impressed at the spread of food, rides, booths, auction items etc, they said this is their biggest fundraiser, and that they raise $30,000 at this event.
It was very impressive. I found out later that we let their teachers park on the weekdays in our church parking lot right next to them. We allow them to use our large ball field as well.
I was so pleased that everyone there had  positive feelings about the missionaries and
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
