Disneyland...

So August 2nd we arose at 6 am and headed down south to Disneyland.

(I can live my mission area as long as I let my mission president know ahead of time via text.
I can only stay overnight somewhere with permission from the area representative)

We went early for two reasons.
One
o be sure we got there in time to rent a motorized scooter for my friend as she was having back and foot trouble, an impinged nerve in her back. By the time we finished at Disneyland I had walked over 15,000 plus steps and wish I had rented a scooter myself. My legs were so tired and my feet ached.

The second
was so we could get on the rides early in Fantasyland before the crowds arrived. Fortunatelylay, since Disneyland was built in the late 50's, many of the rides there allowed us to go up to the handicapped entrance and walk on to the ride. A few we had to wait on for a few minutes but it was really nice. We also took advantage of fast passes and return times. The newer rides were handicapped friendly so we waited along with others. The new Disneyland app made it easier to know which rides to go on and when because it showed the current wait times for rides. So we always went to the shortest ones first. it made for a good experience since standing too long in the same place and not moving around really bothers my knees.

It was fun to reminisce and remember all the good memories that I had there as a child. I also thought it was cute when Lucy came of each ride saying "it was the best ride ever and can we go again?"

We had to keep explaining to her that there were many rides still to go, she even went on the Matterhorn with her dad, which she loved! When we went down the log ride she was yelling and smiling and had her eyes open the whole way down I shut mine.
