Learning the ropes...

Well, today I moved up on the ladder of learning and had a one-hour training for the Library.
I also
 received my official Family research badge.
These are the
binders I am working in or studying in. Lots of information to  learn and remember.

 Today I grabbed a mattress topper at costco, and I got some shelves at Ikea and groceries at Walmart. Tomorrow I have  a p-day so I can finish unpacking and putting my stuff away.

 I learned how to send refferrals by text
 and reminder follow ups.

Bags of fun, temple bags, and little bags for temple workers.

these little bags were made by the lady who gave me the fabric. I thought they were a cute idea. we lucked out one afternoon, after all, the embassy wives came for a luncheon. They had a lot of Persian food leftover and offered it to all the staff in the library. I had a small lunch that day so I was very happy to have it. One missionary asked me to sew a tag that he could sew onto his temple bag, I actually sewed it on for him. HE WAS TICKLED!

Christmas Party at the Cordon's and a new development in crochet

Turns out Sister Pugh from Hurricane Utah is quite the talented crocheter. She made me the doily you see in this picture below.\ She is teaching me how to read a pattern and crochet it out. I made the orange rose above with her help. I gave it to a sister to put on a hairband for her sister. Dinner at the Cordon's was yummy. We filled three huge tables with Senior missionaries! Ham and scalloped potatoes. I can't remember when I last had potatoes like that. My mom used to make them. I particularly loved the Ponce a traditional Guatemalan mulled cider-like drink with all kinds of fruit in it. After you drink it, you eat the fruit for dessert or chill it to have the next morning. There were raisins, apples, papayas, pineapple, cinnamon, prunes, oranges? , It was quite the drink. Wonderful flavor! Lights on Temple Hill

This is Sister Dodge an amazing pianist and an absolutely incredible soprano. She performs mornings at various places.  Ward Christmas party   Temple lights. The pictures don't do them justice but honestly, they attracted quite a crowd most every night. Some wreaths I made for friends here
